A Sequel to My Previous Research Project
In 2020, I concluded a 67-page research project tied to my MBA and the exploration of entrepreneurial ecosystems.

From that research, the most notable detail from readers was the notion of “Actors” of an entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Recap: What are “Actors” of an Entrepreneurial Ecoysystem?
The International Development Innovation Alliance uses the term “actors” to describe the different people, organizations, and institutions that collectively shape whether entrepreneurship can emerge and succeed within a region or community.

Using these Actors as a framework, I identified gaps within the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Sydney, Nova Scotia.
While applying the framework worked well for the purpose of a research project, it prompts an obvious next question for curious entrepreneurs: How can my business use these actors? What steps do I need to take? How do I insert my business into the flow of the ecosystem?
It seems some professionals have knowledge of these Actors, and know how to leverage them for funding, partnerships, and opportunities (unlocking innovation).
This next iteration of my research aims to lay out the steps and procedure involved in this process. This will be achieved through case studies, stories, and interviews with business professionals.
