A Quiet Return to Blogging

Thank you for being here.

It’s been five years since I last published a blog post — long enough that many of you have probably changed jobs, cities, or even started entirely new chapters of your lives.

I used to write about marketing during a period of life when I was deep into experimentation. Those posts eventually led to opportunities at Cape Breton University to teach marketing and entrepreneurship.

Since then, I’ve built a career in data analytics, bought a house, got married, and became a father. I’ve also dipped my feet into woodworking, gardening, boxing, and running — some of the topics I will write about in the near future.

In short, I’ve been doing my part to live a good life in a noisy world.

But some things haven’t changed. I still love learning. Breaking things. Simplifying complex ideas. And I still believe that stories are a powerful source of motivation and inspiration (despite whatever the data says).

That feeling of storytelling has been pulling at me for a while now — the desire to sit down, write, and make sense of what I’m seeing and experiencing.

That’s part of why I’m writing again.

This won’t be another marketing blog, or a place that spews prescriptive life advice.

My goal here is to simply have a place to share my reflections on health, creativity, and family — the things that make up a quality life.

If you’ve been here since the old days, thank you for still being here. And if you’re new, welcome. I’m glad you found your way here.

I hope you enjoy my story.
